Agrippina, the mother of Emperor Nero AD48.
Seneca became the tutor to Emperor Nero…and what else?
Later, Seneca would be Nero’s political advisor and speech writer.
Seneca was not just a writer. What was he?
He was a powerful politician and held the title of Consul (second under the emperor, bit like president/prime minister) under Nero.
How/Why did Seneca meet his end?
In AD65, Seneca was suspected of plotting against Nero and was forced to kill himself.
