Q

Explain the SAS rule of congruent triangles.

A

Side angle side.

If you have two know lengths with an angle in the middle, the triangle set in size and shape.

1
Q

Explain the ASA rule of congruent triangles.

A

Angle side angle. If you have a set length with two set angles on each side, the triangle is fixed.

2
Q

Explain the SSS rule of congruent triangles.

A

Side side side. If you have the three sides of a triangle, it is set in size and shape.

3
Q

Explain the RHS rule of congruent triangles.

A

Right angle, hypotenuse, side.
If you know that the triangle has a right angle, the length of the hypotenuse and another side, the triangle will be fixed in size and shape.

4
Q

What are all the abbreviated rules of congruent triangles?

A

SSS, ASA, SAS, RHS

5
Q

How is the exterior angle calculated?

A

360 divided by the number of sides

6
Q

How is the interior angle calculated ?

A

180- exterior angle.

7
Q

How is the total of the interior angles calculated ?

A

(N-2) X 180

Minus 2 from the number of sides and multiply by 180.

8
Q

How is the sun of the exterior angles calculated?

A

It is always 360.

9
Q

How is the sine rule used for sides?

A

Use the equation on the formula sheet.

Multiply the complete fraction by sin of the opposite angle.

10
Q

How is the sine rule used for angles?

A

Reverse the equation they give you on the equation sheet.
The angle is sin-1 to the whole fraction.
However have the length of the line opposite the angle you want in front is the sin in your fraction e.g. 34sin-1
