Because the government where worried that there wouldn’t be enough food for everyone in china because the population was increasing so rapidly

Because families where worried that a girl wouldn’t be able to support the family as well as a boy would

Because since the ban a lot less babies have been born meaning less young people now

A massive fine

Yes drastically
What did kerala provide that would have made a huge humane impact on the population?
Free contraception and healthcare, gave women paid maternity leave for there first two children, educated women so they could get jobs
