What mistake did Hitler make in the siege of Stalingrad?

A

Most commanders wanted to withdraw because of the strong Soviet resistance and the fact that Stalingrad wasn’t even that useful from a strategic point of view, but Hitler forced them to keep engaging.

Q

What did Hitler do when he declared war on the USSR?

A

When he did that in 1941, he put Germany in a two-front war against Britain and the USSR because the British did not surrender during the Battle Of Britain, and also because Hitler refused to encircle them in Dunkirk.

Q

Why was Germany struggling in the air?

A

They never developed aircraft as strong or as big as the RAF and the US. The B17s and the bombing campaigns obliterated them because their small amount of aircraft was too small to carry enough bombs. They could not protect their naval assets.
