A

Ingestion, digestion, and absorption of nutrients; elimination of wastes; major role in the immune system

Decrease stomach acid, protect from stomach acid, neutralize stomach acid; treat infections (antibiotics and anti-infectives); stimulate peristalsis (Reglan, fiber, magnesium, sugar, etc.); slow peristalsis (Imodium, etc.)
