• G. lamblia cysts in stool;
• G. lamblia DNA in stool;
• G. lamblia trophozoites in stool, duodenal fluid, or small-bowel biopsy; or
• G. lamblia antigen in stool by a specific immunodiagnostic test (e.g., ELISA).
