-2cm below the costal margin
-if palpable lower, consider hepatomegaly

-may be palpable at the left costal margin
-If easily palpable, consider splenomegaly

A
-palpate using deep bimanual palpation
-if easily palpable comfier polycystic kidney disease

A
-should not be palpable
-if it is, consider urinary tract obstruction
