inc of sea energy more material can be transported over a long distance=leaves a area vulnerable to erosion

average sea level inc by 0.19 ms- ice caps
High sea level=high tide= inc freqency of coastal flooding
higher tide= remove more material from beaches, leaving cliffs less protected
