- Open Borders (gov. allows free flowing movement of people from accepted countries (EU))
Censorship
The World Press Freedom Index: shows where the government’s of the world interfere with news media
Total Censorship: governments say what can come in and out of a country in media
Limited Controls, Monitoring, & Surveillance: certain search results are blocked from view (Snoopers Charter in the UK)
Total Freedom: you can search for whatever information you want
Trade Protectionism
purposefully limiting the trade between countries in order to keep your own companies products in business
Higher Tariffs: making foreign variants of products more expensive
Resource Nationalism: giving priority access to domestic TNCs to a resource rather than letting foreign TNCs in to extract it
Maintaining Cultural Identity
(No Cultural Erosion)
Protecting the Rights of Indigenous Peoples: stopping TNCs from destroying ancient sites
Language: protecting Native language and reintroducing once banished languages
Official Holidays: recognising & celebrating official religious or historical ceremonies and holidays
