Countries show of best athletes, highly commercialised, gamesmanship, media/sponsorship
Advantages of hosting Olympic games?
More tourism, national pride, more jobs, global recognition, increased chances of success, improved sporting facilities, healthier nation, regeneration of run down areas and infrastructure
Disadvantages of hosting Olympics?
Cost, overcrowding, traffic, high cost to tax payers, national debt, security risk, expensive,relocation of homes and businesses.
