A

Exenatide (GLP1RA) SubQ 5mcg BID within 60 min prior to meals. After 1 month my increase up to 10mcg. Extended release formulation is 2mg Qweekly.

Victoza for diabetes Saxenda for weight loss.

A

liraglutide (GLP1RA) Victoza is subQ 0.6mg qd for 7days. Then increase to 1.2mg QD then can go to 1.8mg QD if needed.
Saxenda is 0.6mg qd for 7 days up to 3mg.

Incretin Hormone

A

GLP it increases insulin production. Decreases Glucagon production (this decreases glucose synthesis from liver) also slows gastric emptying making one feel full. therefore decreasing food intake.
