Goverment Views Flashcards
(6 cards)
Government views:
KU: the success of a pg can sometimes be different depending on the party that is in power
if the pg shares similar views to the party then they’re more likely to be successful. Eg the taxpayers alliance has been successful on a policy to cut taxes when conservatives were in power
A: important because it means that some parties might be more successful than others depending on their aims and how long parties sharing their views stay in/out of power
KU: some pressure groups might also be more successful in Scotland than England
because of the different views of parties in govt. Eg
A: this is important because it means that some parties might not get much attention at all depending on where they’re based. So some parties might be very lucky and have the govt agree with them because of particular country specific things.
E: this factor is important because sharing views with the govt means they’re more likely to listen to you
and the govt is really the final part you need to get through to get your point across. But the success of a pg is very dependant on who is the leading party at that time.
