Forms and placement of the two lowercase forms of sigma.
σ - anywhere in a word except at the end.
ς - when it is the last letter
of the word.
Seven Vowels

Gamma Nasal
know how it is pronounced and before which four letters the gamma is pro
Pronounced as nu before: κ, γ, χ, ξ.
Eight (proper) diphthongs
Name and know their pronunciations.

Improper Diphthong
Recognize it and know under which vowels it may be written.
“iota subscript.” It goes under: α, η, ω
Daeresis
Recognize it, and know its significance
Diaeresis: ¨
Placed over the second of two contiguous vowels that would normally be pronounced as a diphthong, but which are to be pronounced separately in this word.
Breathing Marks,
Name and know where they’re placed and over which letters.
Smooth = ἀ; Rough = ἁ
Placed on word-initial vowels or rho; precedes a capital letter; placed over the second letter of a diphthong.
