A
  • air and water pollution which have grown through industrialisation and urbanisation, due to the increase of fossil fuel usage
  • water pollution due to non reusable goods which wastes water from the planet’s supply
  • deforestation to make way for manufacturing/grazing
  • desertification- overuse of land to the extent it becomes infertile
  • species extinction and illegal abuse of animals

Secondary green crimes

A
  • organised crime like illegal dumping of chemicals
  • corp crimes like outsourcing disposal of hazardous waste to third parties who illegally dump it
  • environmental discrimination- causing environmental issues in areas of deprivation/poverty
  • combatting groups that try to prevent companies from causing environmental damage
  • FBI classes these groups as eco-terrorists
