Forming
This is the initial stage where team members get acquainted, build trust, and understand the group’s goals and expectations.
Storming
Conflicts and disagreements may arise as team members assert their individual roles and preferences, pushing against boundaries established during the forming stage.
Norming
As team members feel safer, they begin to work together more cohesively, establish norms and expectations, and develop a shared understanding of roles and responsibilities.
Preforming
The team has reached a high level of performance, characterized by effective collaboration, mutual trust, and a shared commitment to achieving team goals.
Adjourning
This stage occurs when the team’s purpose is fulfilled, and the group disbands. It’s a time for reflection, recognition of accomplishments, and transitioning to new roles.
