Q

MOA

A

Vasodilator that acts on the smooth muscle to cause venous and arterial vasodilation

  • Reduction in venous return ( preload ) reducing myocardial oxygen demand
  • Arterial dilation, reduces peripheral resistance ( after load ). Force is reduced within the left ventricle reducing oxygen demand
