Pd1: Family Discord
○ most of variance!!

Pd2: Authority Conflict

Pd3: Social Imperturbability
○ Not worried or dependent socially. Don’t care if people like them.

Pd4a: Social Alienation
○ primary psychopath: doesn’t give a damn about other people and society–they are just a means to an end. Don’t care about offending people at all. No anxiety, comfortable. Lack of rapport, isolation.

Pd4b: Self-Alienation
○ Secondary psychopath: anxious, but this doesn’t stop them from behaving the way they do. Uncomfortable and alienated from themselves-can’t understand why they are doing these things. Lack of integration, guilt, despondency.

Pa1: Ideas of External Influence
○ Feelings of persecution, externalization of blame
○ Projection–nothing is your fault

Pa2: Poignancy
○ Feelings of being special, unique, different
○ Sensitivity, soft-heartedness, thin skinned, vulnerable, high strung, and easily hurt.

Pa3: Moral Virtue
○ smarter than people, more rational, excessively generous, tend to interpret others’ motives as more positively and deny hostility and suspicion, but this is all wrong, you aren’t that nice, you’re hostile.

Schizophrenia

A

Sc1: Social Alienation
○ withdrawal, emotional deprivation: misunderstood, insulted, punished unfairly, plotted against, detached, lonely

Sc2: Emotional Alienation
○ existence devoid of interests, engagement, or aspiration; emotional withdrawal from life

Sc3: Lack of Ego Mastery, Cognitive
○ cog deficits in attn, memory, concentration.
○ similar to D4 (mental dullness) but emphasizes disruption of thought processes by intrusion of troubling thoughts→ disability of thinking.

Sc4: Lack of Ego Mastery, Conative
○ conation-inclination to act purposively, which is what they lack
○ lost motivation to behave in constructive and productive fashion

Sc5: Lack of Ego Mastery, Defective Inhibition
○ fear or dread of internal disintegration or loss of control
○ restless, hyperactive, irritable with periods of laughing/crying they cannot control and episodes during which they didn’t know what they were doing.

Sc6: Sensorimotor Dissociation
○ unexplainable bodily changes (e.g. twitchings, muscle weakness or numbness, voice changes, loss of taste, etc).
○ motor, sensory, and dissociative symptoms.
