Q

What are some weaknesses of HDI

A

HDI shows the average of the entire population, just like any quantitative average it can hide inequality.
HDI doesn’t really add anything to the individual indicators.
Because HDI is measured relative to other countries it can increase or decrease without the country having changed.
It is difficult to compare HDI ratings over time.
