A

I- person who is/who has ever been landed immigrant, person has been granted right to live in canada permanently.
R- Someone living outside their home country that’s unable or unwilling to return because of fear of persecution.

A

Permanent- economic class, family class, humanitarian class (refugees resettled from abroad)
Temporary- migrant workers, international student, refugee claimants (those arriving in canada claiming to refugees)

A

Improved economic/quality of life opportunities, address shortages in labour sectors/skill levels, temporary work programs, war, poverty, lack of freedom, and people forcibly displaced.

A

Access to immediate care, differences in care compared to Canadians, cultural competency is problematic. Precious housing, psychological trauma, sexual violence.

A

Most report very good health before moving but then after some groups are at risk of stroke/diabetes/infectious disease. Declines because of barriers to healthcare. Also know as healthy immigrant effect.
