  • PRIMARY
    • Focus on promoting health and preventing disease
    • actions taken prior to the onset of disease which removes the possibility that the disease will EVER occur.
  • SECONDARY
    • Early identification of illness, providing TX and conducting activities that halts the progress of a disease at its incipient (early stage) in order to prevent complications
  • TERTIARY
    • Focus on preventing long term consequences of chronic illness or disability and supporting optimal functioning.
