- small mass nerves, between left and right side
- pass impulse to electrical conducting muscle fibers (AV bundle) (made of bundle of His and Purkinje Fibre)
- ensures that the ventricles contract

Sinoatrial Node (SA node) Pacemaker
A
- bundle of nerves control tissue in right atrium
- controls heart rate
- causes left and right atrium to contract

- medulla oblongata can increase frequency of heartbeat
- heart sets its own rhythm with SA and AB nodes
