How does HSP present?

A
  • Usually in children following an infection
  • Palpable purpuric rash over buttocks/extensor surfaces of arms and legs
  • Abdominal pain
  • Polyarthritis
  • Haematuria/Renal failure

How is HSP managed?

A
  • Analgesia for pain
  • Supportive renal treatment
  • Regular BP and urinalysis to detect renal involvement
