Mizuna
Like rocket/arugula, mizuna has a spicy piquant flavor, is great
mixed with other lettuce leaves and is commonly found in
commercially available lettuce leaf mixes.
Mizuna is medium green with deeply jagged leaves
Benitate cress
A purple water pepper, fragrant, spicy and peppery aftertaste.
Used as a garnish and palette refresher for sashimi, sometimes used as an alternative to fresh wasabi - mixed in soy sauce for sashimi or straight on
top of the fish.
Daikon cress
Daikon is member of the radish family, spicy tastemaker, add extra crunchiness to most dishes, mainly used in makis.
Shiso cress
Shiso micro cress leaves of perilla plant are soft, crisp, succulent and tender. These have a delicate purple and green coloring.
Micro shiso cress adds a crisp texture to a range of savoury dishes.
Hanaho flowers
Edible purple flower of the perilla plant (shiso).
The flowers have a vegetal taste when compared to the minty basil like flavour of the leaves.
Shiso
Green or Purple leaves of the perilla plant, it is also a natural palate enhancer.
Herb from the mint family with hints of basil flavour.
Red shiso is slightly sweeter.
