What is heredity?
The passing on of genetic traits from parents to offspring.
What did Gregor Mendel study question?
He was the first to study heredity Inheritance followed particular patterns 
Medel came up with framework for how traits get passed from one person to another after doing experiments with peas. What was the framework called?

What are chromosomes?
chromosomes which are the form DNA takes in order to get passed on from parent to child.

What is a gene?
A gene is a section of DNA in a specific location on a chromosome that contains information that determines a trait.
What is a physical trait?
a physical trait is a reflection of a bunch of different genes working together.
What is a polygenic trait?
polygenic is many genes
Pleiotropic genes
When a single gene influences how multiple traits are going to be expressed.
What is a Mendelian trait?
Very few, but some traits are decided by a single gene.
