Difference between mortality and morbidity.

A

Mortality is the number of death rates recorded in a certain population whereas morbidity is a number of injuries and disabilities caused in a certain population.

How can peer group affect injuries and deaths among youths?

A

They influence young males into taking risky activities to make them sound cool but leads to further injuries or deaths whereas female pee groups are taught from a young age to act professional and to look more put together.

For example young males tend to play outdoors on risky equipment where at the same age young females will be playing with Barbie dolls innocently.

What is socioeconomic status?

A

levels of education, income and occupation are often considered together as a person’s socioeconomic status (SES). Socioeconomic factors are important influences on health and wellbeing in Australia.

  • Individuals who are lower are more prone to deaths, low income, stress and diseases.
  • the higher a person’s income, education or occupation level, the greater their level of health.
