it is way of showing love and devotion it to Brahman and since they believe that Brahman is in everyone this is very important

worship takes place at a shrine which is placed in the cleanest room of the house that’s also accessible to every family member

What happened during the Puja ceremony?
A
- a bell is rung at the start to indicate it starting
- incense is spread around the room to symbolise Brahmans presence everywhere
- the feet of the murti are washed to show that God is welcomed as as a sign of respect
- flowers are offered to the God to show its importance
- hymns are sand and mantras are said to show devotion
- the worshiper takes kumkum powder and places it on their head and the head of the murti
- fruits and sweet foods are offered to the murtis which are then thought to be blessed
