Mahabharata
The feud between the Pandavas (good) and the Kauravas (bad). Pandavas won the war the between the two sides of the family.
Ramayana
Rama is the avatar of Vishnu and is sent to Earth to put Ravana back into his place. Rama is banished to the forest due to his father’s youngest wife’s wish. Rama, wife Sita, and half-brother go to the forest where they are given trouble by Ravana, the demon god. Sita is kidnapped by Ravana and Rama, Lakshmana, and Hanuman (monkey god) went to retrieve Sita and conquered Ravana in the process by burning his kingdom. Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana then returned to their kingdom where Rama retook the throne and soon banished Sita for living in another man’s house (Ravana’s).
Bhagavad-Gita
Arjuna is set to fight a battle against his evil family members, but he has major regrets and doesn’t believe fighting a war will solve anything. Krishna (8th avatar of Vishnu) is Arjuna’s chariot driver and is able to convince him to fight by telling him that he won’t actually be killing people, only their bodies because their souls will live on.
Rama and associates
Rama was banished to the forest and followed by wife Sita and half-brother Lakshmana where they fought off Ravana and regained the kingdom
Krishna and associates: Krishna and Arjuna are on the winning side of the war when Krishna must explain to Arjuna why he has to fight.
