What is a civil war?
war fought between people of the same country.
Why civil war is called the worst type of war?
It can be the worst type of war because it can tear communities apart. Sometimes even members of the same family fight on different sides.
What were the roles played by the ordinary people during the Civil War?
Ans: i) Many ordinary people did not want to fight at all, but were often forced to. ii)sometimes had to take soldiers into their homes and feed them.
iii)Sometimes their homes and their churches were looted by soldiers from either side.
Why was Oliver’s period called as good old days?
When Oliver was there, England was a strong Protestant country. They defeated everyone –
royalists, Scots, Irish, Dutch and even the Spanish.
