What was the aim of the Treaty of Versailles?
To punish Germany for their involvement in WW1, to weaken Germany’s Military, there are different aims for different countries
What are each countries aim for Treaty of Versailles?
France: Completely crush Germany’s Economy and Military, force Germany to pay full cost of War. U.S.: League of legends. Britain: Restore Germany’s economy but weaken their military.
What were the aims of the League of Nations?
To prevent war and bloodshed through collective Security, settling international disputes through negotiation
Which countries were not members of the League of Nations?
U.S., Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia
What issues did the League of Nation have?
Lack of Legitimacy, Lack of Military and decision making.

A political party in Germany led by Adolf Hitler that believed in extreme nationalism and racism.

giving people what they want to prevent them from harming you or being angry with you Eg Britain giving Germany Czechoslovakia

The first and largest Japanese air attack on mainland Australia, occurring on February 19, 1942.

What was the role of Appeasement and how this failed to stop Hitler?
Role: Britain and France let Hitler take land to avoid another war. Why it failed: Hitler saw it as weakness and kept invading more countries, like Poland in 1939.
What were the conditions faced by prisoners of war in Japanese-occupied countries
Little food and water, Disease and poor medical care, Beatings and torture, Forced to work long hours on projects.
The impact of the bombing of Darwin
The bombing of Darwin caused fear of invasion, led to evacuations, and made Australia turn to the United States for protection instead of Britain.
