What is the difference between physician centered vs patient centered encounter?

A

Physician centered approach is asking more close ended questions, getting details out of the pt, but results in patient’s dissatisfaction.

Patient centered approach lets the patient talk, is more time consuming, and encourages patient centered relationship.
