During history taking, what questions do we ask about hoarseness?
A
Hoarseness history taking questions:
- How long have you had hoarseness of the voice?
- Is the hoarseness persistent or intermittent?
- Is the hoarseness causing any pain?
- Have you experienced a cough/choking/ swallowing problems
- Can I ask about your voice use?
- Do you have asthma/rhinosinusitis/reflux?
- Are you a smoker?
- What medication are you on?
