Pull the truck around
Adjust seat, mirrors and headset
Air brake test
Chock wheels, release brakes, turn the truck off and apply brakes. Check <3 psi change in 1 min, warning alarm at 65 psi, air brake between 40-60 psi. Turn the truck back on and make sure air builds to 120-133 psi
Gauges
Transmission 160-220, 330 intermittent
Coolant 180-220
Oil pressure 5-60 hot, 15-80 cold
DEF >25%
Fuel >50%
Voltmeter 13.5-14.8
Prove out button
Horns and sirens
Step air gauge 80-110
Pump and lights
Turn all lights on
PTO half then all the way down
Reengage transmission
(Troubleshoot by ensuring parking break is set and rolling the gears)
Check MPH, 2 transmission numbers, 2 green lights
Pump panel process
Keystone, bleeder valve
Engine cooler, recirc lines
Tank to pump all the way open, tank fill
Prime and throttle up to 120 psi
Lights
Three lights out = OOS
Ladder rack
No leaks, missing/inoperable hardware, hydraulic fluid addressed
Ladders
Bent rails, bad rungs, missing out damaged heel spurs, heat sensors, halyard, pulley and overall condition
Transmission fluid
Checking hot
Correct level, clear reddish/brown color, no condensation or rust on dipstick, no smell of fuel or coolant contamination (which would look like strawberry milk)
Saturday
Wash out radiator with redline in fog and pump at 1100 RPMs until water runs clear/ten minutes
Exercise all valves, flow water out of all discharges, check all nozzles for flow/debris, check fire hose for damage/cuts/burns
Pump test
Close and open tank fill 3x to check for fluctuations >10 psi
Foam test
Push on button and ensure green button lights up
Pump shut down
Throttle down and idle
Return power to truck transmission
High idle for 3-5 minutes
Pull pump/manifold drains and replace keystone
