HARDWARE TROUBLE SHOOTING

Unexpected shutdowns
Caused by excessive heat, Check fans, check BIOS Fan status. Failing hardware check if anything failed in logs run diagnostics
Lockups
Similar to shutdowns, check for any activity, status lights, try ctl alt delete, update drivers/software patches, Low resources, RAM storage.
POST (Power on self test)
Checks cpu, video, memory status. Failures noted with beeps.
POST and boot
Blank screen - Bad video card, Check bios configuration, Bios time and setting check motherboard battery. Attempting to boot from invalid device.
Continus boot
Boot loop, How far does report go, Bad driver or OS configuration, F8-boot from last know configuration. or F8 safe mode.
No power
Use Multimeter to check power sources
Overheating
Heat generation, Cooling systems Fans and airflow. Heatsinks, Remove dust, Check Bios to check temperature.
