what are the roles of courts
the role of courts are three diffrent courts that deal with different levels of crime to ensure a fair punishment and treatment depending on what you did .
what are the three levels of court
the magistrates court , the district Court and the supreme court .
what is the magistrates court
the magistrates court is the lowest and busiest court in the state . it deals with minor crimes like legal disputes between people .
what is the district Court
it is the middle court and deals with serious crimes such as theft drug offences or assault .
what is the Supreme Court
it is the highest court in wa and hears really bad crimes such as murder or attempted murder or something like drug trafficking . it also has the power to review decisions from the lower courts this process is known as appeal .
what are the roles and responsabillites of the police
the WA polices responsibilities are to make sure people abbey and follow the laws and if they don’t the have the power to ARREST them .
what type/roles of police are their
water police , mounted police , canine section and police air wing .
the water police
responsible for under water search and rescue missions . they also do safety for boats and other water vessels .
the canine section
they are police who use dogs to help detect things like drugs or weapons with there good sense of smell .
mounted police
they are police that ride horses so they can be more visible to crowds . they are encharge of missing people searching and attending things like Anzac Day parades .
police air wing
they are police in airplanes that are responsible for crime detection ,
the rule of law
the rule of law that we have is implied to make sure the no one no matter what alway has to follow the law and rules . and we can’t just make up rules and laws as we go along .
the presumption of innocence
this is the idea that if someone has allegedly committed a crime and has to goto court they are always presumed innocent and do not have to prove they are innocent but the people in court have tp prove they are guilty .
the burden of proof
the burden of proof is a craze that is said to indicate who has the responsibility to prove the prove the case .
the right to legal representation
this is the law that no matter who you are you have the right to have and be provided with a legal proffesanal incase you can not get or afford one or just because the Australian legal system is so complicated .
the right to a fair trial
the right to a fair trial is a big part of justice and what is dose is lets you plead not guilty and face court even if you are arrested and charged.
