what causes it?
A
magnesium is needed for the release of calcium by cells
when there is magnesium deficiency there will be a high intracellular calcium
PTH release is inhibited
skeletal and muscle receptors are less sensitive to PTH
if magnesium is low calcium and magnesium should be released
