Undue Activation of Alpha Protection

A
  1. If at any time, with a speed above VLS, the aircraft goes to a continuous nose down pitch rate that cannot be stopped with backward sidestick inputs, immediately:
    a. One ADR pb ……………………………………………………KEEP ON
    [Consider keeping ADR 1 on for the possible
    occurrence of Emergency Electrical Configuration.]
    b. Two ADR pbs…………………………………………………………. OFF
    Note: In case of dispatch with one ADR
    inoperative, select only one ADR pb to OFF.
    c. Undue Activation of Alpha Protection Checklist
    complete, and
    ☛ Complete ECAM actions.
    ☛ Establish and communicate a plan.
    ☛ Consider Emergency Landing Checklist on
    page I (inside back cover).

OR 1. If the Alpha Max strip (red) hides completely the Alpha
Prot strip (black and amber) in a stabilized wings-level
flight path (without an increase in load factor):
a. One ADR pb …………………………………………………..KEEP ON
[Consider keeping ADR 1 on for the possible
occurrence of Emergency Electrical Configuration.]
b. Two ADR pbs ………………………………………………………….OFF
Note: In case of dispatch with one ADR
inoperative, select only one ADR pb to OFF.
CAUTION
Risk of erroneous display of the Vsw strip (black and
red) and risk of undue stall warning.
c. Flight Path Vector (FPV) use ……………………….. Consider

OR 1. If the Alpha Prot strip (black and amber) rapidly moves
by more than 30 kt during flight maneuvers (with an
increase in load factor), with AP ON and speed brakes
retracted:

occurrence of Emergency Electrical Configuration.]
