Why called “immeasurable?”

Compassion - immeasurable living beings

Main points of General Explanation of Going for Refuge
We enter Buddhism thru refuge. Qualified, while visualizing, seek refuge throughout our life.
Main reason, permanent liberation from suffering. Temporary and permanent cessation of sufferings.
Buddhas are ‘awakened’ from the sleep of ignorance. Function, bestow mental peace upon each and every living being every day by giving blessings. Source of happiness. Dharma actual protection from sufferings of ageing, sickness, death, and rebirth. Sangha the supreme sp friends who guide us to correct spiritual paths.
Developing renunciation:
I should not be satisfied with merely temporary freedom from particular sufferings, which even animals can experience. I must attain permanent freedom from self-grasping ignorance - the root of suffering - through sincerely practicing the three higher trainings.
Developing conviction in the power of the 3 jewels - 4 special attributes of Buddhas:
free from all fear and suffering
have skill in liberating all living beings
have great compassion for all living beings
they are without partiality
