Theodore Roosevelt

In 1884 is wife and mother died on the same day, so he left politics and worked on a ranch for 2 years. In 1898 he went to battle in the Spanish-American War and returned a war hero. resigned governor to become V.P. to McKinley and in 1901, he became president because of McKinley's assassination.
