- When did the Jamaica Constitution come into force?
It came into force in 1962 with the Jamaica Independence Act of the UK Parliament.
- What does Chapter 1 of the Constitution say about its power?
It states that the Constitution is the supreme law of Jamaica. Any other law that is inconsistent with it is considered void.
