population.

Equitable Use
The design is useful to people with diverse abilities. Avoids stigma and provides equal means of use.
Flexibility in Use
Accommodates a wide range of individual preferences and abilities, including left- or right-handed use and user pace.
Simple & Intuitive Use
Design is easy to understand, regardless of experience, literacy, or concentration level. Eliminates unnecessary complexity.
Perceptible Information
Communicates information effectively, regardless of ambient conditions or the user’s sensory abilities. Uses multiple modes like visual and tactile.
Tolerance for Error
Minimizes hazards and the consequences of mistakes. Provides warnings and fail-safe features.
Low Physical Effort & Size/Space for Use
Can be used comfortably with minimal fatigue. Provides appropriate size and space for approach and use regardless of posture or mobility.
