Indicating and Recording System Flashcards
Describe the CCD
used to position the cursor to a different display
What are the three ways to control the the cursor
CCD
Multifunction keypad
EFIS control panel ND mode selector
What is the Tap feature for the CCD
Tap a corner causes the cursor to jump to that corner if there is a selectable function in that corner
What is the swipe feature
swipe can move the cursor to that display
What are the Multiple display Management types
Synchronized - (CHKL) what effects one effects the other
Independent - not linked (CDU)
Blank - exceedence of allowed number for that display
Which controls which DU
DSP - upper
MFK - lower
What does the white border around the ND and CDU switches on the DSP and MFK
Default display
What determines which system display appears when SYS is pressed
Phase of Flight
before start - STAT
After start - FCTL synoptic
in flight - FUEL
Grd after landing - STAT
What is the EICAS transfer switch
moves EICAS from one inbd DU to the other
What does the ENG switch on the DSP do
cycle the secondary eng display on the EICAS
What are the AIR DATA/ATT AUTO and PFD/MFD NORM for
Non Normal conditions when automatic display reconfiguration has failed
What does AIR DATA/ATT control
changes the source of A/S, altitude,
Who has control of the ND if both pilots select it on the lower DU
who ever selected it first
How many MFD’s are available for selection
5
1 has to be EICAS
Where can EICAS not be displayed
Lower DU
Where is auto reconfiguration of the DU’s
Outbd DU moves over one to INbd DU
INbd DU moves over to FO INBD DU
Where is the EFIS Control back up
and the DSP select panel back up
on the SYS - EFIS CTRL BCKUP
What are the prediction times of the trend arrows for A/S and ALT
A/S 10 sec
ALT 6 sec
What does a Yellow box around a yellow altimeter setting
STD not selected above the transition altitude
Same when below the STD alt
What is the L beside the STD on the Baro altimeter
Which EFIS control panel is the reference for the A/P and FD
What does AOA SPD or GPS ALT in yellow at the bottom of the speed or alt tape mean
the Normal source of airspeed or altitude failed
back up source is used
the VNAV Band has s upper and lower limit what is it
upper speed VNAV PTH changes to VNAV SPD
Lower speed the A/T will add thrust above the computed descent thrust
What is TAMS
Thrust Asymmetry Minimum Speed
Tape to provide SA of minimum control speed for operation with large thrust Asymmetry
On an ILS with LOC mode what does one rectangle mean relative to the LOC
1/2 dot deviation
