What was the Industrial revolution
It saw the mass production of goods, changing the countries involved from agricultural societies to industrial societies

Machines started to replace human labour
Rural to urban migration (people left farms to work in cities)

What happened with the population growth?
With the Agricultural Revolution, there was more food which increased the number of people.
There was a greater demand for food and clothes; more workers were available. Britain had enough working hands to aid its industrial growth.
More food > More people > More demand for work
Impact of transport
Better roads, canals and railways were created so that greater loads could be carried across longer distances. These routes helped connect Britain and speed up industrial growth across the whole country.
Major inventions
Steam engine, light bulb, airplane, telegraph, telephone, spinning jenny, cotton gin, dynamite.
Disadvantages:
Pollution and environmental damage were the obvious consequences of the industrialised world.
