Laissez-Faire - Businesses and industries free from government controls

New jobs are created and more tax money
How were entrepreneurs and the Laissez-Faire bad for the economy?
No restrictions on business meant that workers could be exploited. Poor working conditions and low pay.

- Sewing machines got bigger and better. It produced more products with more accuracy then before which meant that more money was being made.
- The Assembly Line increased production of products and reduced the production cost.

- Sewing machines were bigger in size so more space was needed. Additionally, more power was used to run the machine.
- Assembly Line production was very repetitive and boring and forced you to focus constantly

The population of Europe increased due to the potato. It was inexpensive and served as a good source of calories and nutrients lowering the death rate.

The Franchise was important to women and the poor. With the right to vote, they could change working conditions.

Technologies such as the steam engine required water to power other machinery. This water comes from a body of water.
The southern U.S. produced much cotton and Britain bought the cotton to use and sell.
Give and explain two ways infrastructure benefitted the Industrial Revolution
Roads and railroads benefitted the Industrial Revolution. They helped move goods faster, higher amount of materials transported and lowered transportation costs.
