What is the difference between infectious and non-infectious diseases?
Infectious diseases can be transmitted from one organism to another while non-infectious diseases are not transmitted
What is a parasite?
An organism that lives off another organism known as the host
Why are humans good ‘hosts’?
Humans are warm and nutrient-rich animals, making them perfect for parasite reproduction.
What is a toxin?
A toxin is a harmful chemical that is released or produced from one organism through venom or pathogens which is toxic to other organisms
Why is ring-worm not classified as a worm disease?
Ringworm is not an actual worm like a tapeworm or a Threadworm underneath the skin but a kind of infection caused by a fungus.
