Duty Period

Flight Duty Period
Includes (45 min + flight + turn around (25min) )
Stand By
Pre notified (at least 1 hour before) defined period of time which the operator is required to be available
When should you report to the a/c
at least 45 min before departure time
Post Duty Period
30 minutes at the end of each day to recive feedback
The Total of flight time of sectors which cannot be exceeded
100 hours in 28 consecuive days
900 hours in a calender years
1000 hours in 12 consecutive calendar months
Rest Requirements
You must rest 12 hours between each duty period
Commander Discretion
A need to exceed 13 hours (by max 2h)
Never exceed 15 h of duty period
Pre Flight Briefing
CSS should: check if members have updated their VOPS (everyday); confirme safety documents downloaded in CDF; review any SPI published within the last seven days; Discuss Topic of the week; update CC on flights and passenger numbers or aditional information ( fueling/weather…)
While Discussing topic of the week we have to cover:

1 Security Topic
1 First Aid Topic
PDI (Pre Departure Inspection) must be done…
Before the first flight of the day or everytime you switch a/c
During PDI (Pre Department Inspection) CC must:
Assigned doors- Check handle is horizontal; door is flush with the fuselage and safety strap is stowed
Jumpseat and Area Check- seat retracts, belt operational, check mirror
Cabin Checks- Emergency lighthing operational, seat cushions, seat belts opr., safety cards on pocket ABC1 DEF2, PSU opr. and LJ
Galley- Oven, trolley, bin flaps
Toillet, water suply, bin flaps, freon and smoke detector opr.
How are CC positions assigned?
By Operational Experience
Chain of Comand on board
Captain 1st Officer N1 N2 N3 N4
Why are the lights dimmed at night during take off and landing
In case of the emercency for the eyes to adjust
When does the CC need to be seated?
While taxing on the runway

Go through their emergency drill mentaly: 30 SECONDS REVIEW
On RAMP whilst on airside crew must:
Wear Hi-VIZ jacket
Have Valid airport ID or Ryanair ID Card
Ensure all security doors are closed
Be alert to the diferent types of vehicles
Use marked walk ways
Never walk on taxiway nor whithin the blast or suction areas
FOD
Foreign Object Debris
General surveillance (during the flights)
Toillets- Clean, bins, flush and stop, smoke detector
Cabin- alert to movement in cabin, floor area, fire hazards
Galley ways- Oven, ….
