-one thing to say J resurrection inspired by God, quite another to say everything in Bible inspired by G.
-Some Christians think Bible deals with matters of belief and morality, its inspired.

-inspiration covers whole human response to G, since G author of humanity
-human contribution to scripture is so important, so much that it should be studied

Karl Baths Neo-orthodox view
-didnt see words of Bible as being inspired, beloved Scripture becomes inspired when it provides those who read it with a personal encounter with J
Barth on inspiration
-by ‘fallible’ he means ‘capable of being wrong’ he means G revelation is hidden behind human lang that can be confusing
-impossible to try remove human side of Scripture, its fully human + fully divine
-if bible has human side stops us from setting up Bible as ‘false absolute’
whats an absolute (Barth)?
something that can never be challenged/ must always be right
if bible has human side we can’t treat it as absolute, we have to think about it and argue what it means for us
leaves room for personal encounter with God that humans can find in Bible
