Physiological obstacles for flight students

A
  • Students may react to unfamiliar noises or vibrations, or experience unfamiliar sensations due to g-forces, or uncomfortable feeling in the stomach.

These are real obstacles that can usually be overcome simply by understanding what causes them.

A sick student does not learn well

  • Make sure they have the skills required prior to solo
  • Make sure they know to ask for help from ATC if needed
  • Consistent performance without instructor intervention shows mastery of the skill set.
