normal distribution. 100 is average w/ SD of 15. Disabled is 2 SD below (70 or lower). Expect 2.1% but actually closer to 3% b/c other illnesses cause ID

A

ppl have premutation which is mitotically stable but meiotically unstable and expands during oogenesis in each generation until full mutation is seen

A

deterioration: single event with stability on each side. Degeneration: steady decline
