Biological difference between males and females

Behavioural characteristics of a person that are socially constructed. Masculine and feminine behaviour are a part of the socialisation process which starts at birth eg dress girl in pink
What’s the Sapir wharf hypothesis in representations of gender?
If sexiest words exist because of our behaviour is sexist or is there sexism because of our language
What is a stereotype?
An oversimplified representation of a group or person
What does pejorative mean?
A judgemental term that implies criticism
What qualities are associated with men and women?
Women- weak, emotional, polite, nurturing
men- strong, aggressive, bold
What are marked terms?
Norms that deviate from the standard or default in a language, often implying less prestige or status eg hostess
(terms that have been gendered)

When there is no word equivalent to another word
