Conception
The Most Honorable Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated was conceived on Saturday, October 18, 1913, when the Most Honorable Big A. Langston Taylor presented to the Most Honorable Big Brother Leonard F. Morse the proposition of establishing a new fraternity at Howard University. The Most Honorable Big Brother Charles I. Brown was invited to aid in the movement.
Charter Members
The Charter Members of the Most Honorable Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated are Big Brother S.P. Massie, J.A. Franklin, J.E. Jones, B.A. Matthews, W.F. Vincent, T.L. Alston, W.E. Tibbs, J.R. Howard and I.L. Scruggs.
Recognition
The Most Honorable Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated was recognized by the Board of Deans at Howard University on April 15, 1914.
